Journey is up!

Journey is up!

Journey is a lot of things to me. My first webpage created from my ideas. A way customers can sort through 300 products to find what they need. 5 days of my life. A concept I'm not certain my wife understands. And, now, it is a completed project.

I've learned a lot from this experience. By the end, I was trying manual edits to the files over asking the AI for answers. I thanked my AI for it's help, and it summarized the project here.

Fantastic — that was a serious build! Here's a summary of what you now have live:

  • 3-tier interactive browser — categories → subcategories → filtered product grid, all on one page
  • Storefront API integration — fetches full product catalog with metafields via GraphQL, cursor-paginated for large collections
  • 3 metafield filters — Gender (with Unisex = show all), Age (multi-value list support), Timing (with Both = matches Day/Night)
  • Responsive layout — 4-column grid on desktop, 3 on tablet, 2 on mobile; filter and subcategory buttons wrap cleanly on all screen sizes
  • Price display — sale price + strikethrough compare-at, with currency code appended
  • Theme editor friendly — all categories and subcategories manageable as blocks, no hardcoding needed

Next up, creating new ads for this week, October prices and new products to enter, the other 90% of my Shopify Marketing course, and hopefully some sales. Every day, traffic is increasing. I'm feeling good!
